Mood: waiting for wind
20th December 2008
Windsurfing: Posh Beach - Cooden
Wind Direction: W
Wind Stength: F4
Surf / Sea State: some waves
Air Temperature: relatively mild
Sea Temperature: ok
Weather: overcast at times, otherwise bright
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Pre-Xmas sail with the Cooden Posse.
Bit marginal at times (understatement), but better fun before the tide turned.
Probably should have gone for the 6.3m with hindsight, but having not tried the 5.9m, felt ought to give it a go on the equally untried Freewave 104.
Not really fair testing as was so marginal, and not sure about the sail as a light wind powerhouse on initial outing. Board seemed crisp enough, and not dissimilar to the Freewave 95 I'd borrowed before.
In truth, probably a day that I should have used the Ray and 7.3m, so pretty good to have had a session on 5.9m & Freewave.
Maybe the ideal board for today would have been the Kona 10'5 though .... as those waves shaped up really nicely as the tide came up.
Have to see what tomorrow brings as looks last opportunity for a while given the forecast.
